+OS X 10.5.8 is installed. Former owner has not wiped machine; host name was "Doris Ross's PowerBook G4", username was "Stan".
+Re-did first boot setup to create user "maff" with password "yiff", attempted to write a 10.3.7 install DVD but I have no DL blanks and it won't boot from the usb gadget drives created by the iODD.
+Gets warm very easily, screen has some persistent image in the centre (might have been caused by an impact), chassis is really banged up. Battery replacement from eBay had 77 charge cycles, but it isn't holding a charge. Got it up to 3.2Ah charged and then left unplugged overnight, was completely flat the next day. I kinda don't wanna work on this machine any more. Sorta wish I hadn't bought it.
